Fairlight Green Computing Whitepaper

At Fairlight, we are promoting ‘green’ and environmentally friendly processes in the development, assembly, electronic components, packaging and delivery of our products.

In addition, we have developed a new type of co-processor (acceleration technology) that provides end users with a huge benefit in terms of power consumption per GFLOP without trading off any of our system’s performance.

The Crystal Core card is able to deliver a 98% reduction in the electrical power consumption and heat generated when compared with our previous technology platform the QDC engine. We are getting roughly 1x GFOP for every 1.5 Watts of power consumed which is quite remarkable. For customers who are looking for technologies that can reduce their carbon footprint we think it is a very compelling technology platform.
